New CEO "GM-AvtoVAZ" will begin February 1

Richard Swando appointed General Director of CJSC "GM-AvtoVAZ" the press center of the enterprise. C on February 1, Richard Swando assume his duties. Richard Swando, since 1992, is engaged in the expansion of GM's key emerging markets. In his role as Director-General, he will lead all activities of the company, "GM-AvtoVAZ" in Togliatti and submit to the Executive Director for Russia and CIS countries Warren Brown on the joint venture operation in general and executive director for the production of GM-Europe Eric Stevens as the functional head of the company. John Mylonas, who is currently the General Director of CJSC "GM-AvtoVAZ" has successfully managed a joint venture in Togliatti in June 2001 and has a comprehensive knowledge of the Russian automotive market. Under his leadership, less than two years JV team has created a new assembly plant, has launched two models and a net profit in its first full year of business. Russia is a global emerging market, and John Milonas play an important role in the expansion and further strengthen the position of GM in Russia. In his new role he will report to the Executive Director for Russia and CIS countries Warren Brown.
