On 22 December in a joint venture "GM - AvtoVAZ" in Togliatti will begin the Christmas holidays. Assembly line the company will not run until January 12 next year. In addition, during the Christmas holidays, many experts of the plant will continue to work hard at their jobs. At the factory already set the exact dates of commencement of production of the new model passenger sedan, "Chevrolet Viva" on the base model "Opel Astra T-3000", and the main efforts of specialists of the enterprise will be directed to work on this project. John Milonas did not rule out the possibility of such developments, which in January and February, the plant will assemble SUVs "Chevrolet-Niva" in two shifts. Recall that in August this year, the plant switched to 3-shift work, with the build about 96 cars per shift. Total in a joint venture in Togliatti, now employs about 1,200 people.
