Assembly line "GM-AvtoVAZ" has gone one hundred thousandth car "Chevrolet-Niva"

100 thousandth car "Chevrolet-Niva" rolled out of the Russian-American joint venture "GM-AvtoVAZ". ITAR-TASS, the company was founded in 2001 as a result of agreements between the concern "General Motors", "AvtoVAZ" and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Total project cost - more than 338 million dollars. On September 23, 2002 the company produces SUV "Chevrolet Niva", from September 23, 2004, the car "Chevrolet Viva," based on "Opel". In 2002 the company issued a 456 cars in 2003, production increased to 25,235 cars. Output in 2004 has doubled - up to 54 910 vehicles "Chevrolet-Niva".
