Chevrolet Niva may be available for sale as a model of Daewoo and Fiat

The new Chevrolet Niva SUV, production of which began September 23 at the facilities of the joint venture GM-AvtoVAZ, in some export markets could go on sale under the brands Daewoo and Fiat. About this in an interview seven miles the general director of Joint Venture John Milonas. According to him, in some Asian countries, the novelty may be sold as a model of Daewoo, and in Italy and possibly even some European countries - as a model of Fiat. However, it is worth recalling that in Europe the SUV will be presented under the name Chevrolet. Also, do not prevent the use for the export version of Chevrolet Niva car engines manufactured by the partner group General Motors. Presumably, it will be GM gasoline engine and new diesel concern Fiat. It is impossible not to note the fact that exports of the new SUV assembled in Russia, plans to guide the joint venture, held a year later - in October 2003. At the same time the novelty will be available in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
